Anna holds a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from Australian Catholic University and undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in psychology from University of Newcastle. She is registered with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is an Associate Member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association (ACPA).
Anna is a naturally warm, open-minded, and compassionate psychologist, who prioritises creating a safe environment where clients feel respected, supported, and heard. She is patient and understands that it takes time to build trust, and she sees each client as a unique individual with an important story. Anna feels privileged to support her clients during their hardest moments and to witness their remarkable strength and growth. She will celebrate your hard work and victories with you, while also encouraging you to be the best and truest version of yourself.
Anna has experience working in both public and private hospitals within inpatient and outpatient settings, university clinics, and schools. In addition to her work at My Space, Anna is a Senior Psychologist at a private psychiatric hospital where she provides individual and group therapy primarily utilising DBT and RO DBT, as well as CBT and Schema Therapy. She also has a special interest in mindfulness and has conducted research on mindfulness and behavioural addictions.
Using an attachment-focussed relational approach, Anna provides treatment to young adults through to older adults, who are experiencing mood disturbance, anxiety, stress, life transitions, grief and loss, relationship concerns, emotional dysregulation, interpersonal difficulties, gender and sexual diversity issues, and complex trauma.
Anna provides both short-term and long-term therapy using a collaborative and flexible approach, drawing on a range of evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Radically Open Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (RO DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Therapies.
