Haydee holds a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Technology Sydney and an Honours degree in Psychology from Macquarie University. Haydee is registered with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association (ACPA). Haydee is a board-approved supervisor and provides clinical supervision for psychologists across a range of areas, including general adult psychology and working in the psych-oncology field.

 

Haydee is a warm, personable therapist and believes it is a privilege to sit alongside people during their most challenging moments and ensure they feel safe, heard and understood. Haydee approaches therapy with compassion and patience to allow each person’s story to unfold in its own time. Haydee prioritises collaboration and rapport building to create a space where individuals feel empowered to overcome their unique obstacles.

 

Haydee has worked across various settings including acute in-patient and out-patient hospital settings leading group therapy. She has experience working with adults presenting with generalised anxiety, social anxiety, stress, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, adjustment, grief, chronic pain, relationship difficulties. Haydee has a special interest in health psychology and aims to help clients adjust to challenging life circumstances while making meaningful and long-lasting change. Haydee also works at Chris O’Brien Lifehouse, where she provides tailored psychological support to cancer patients and their families.

 

Haydee also enjoys working with adolescents and families and is a Circle of Security parent training facilitator. She has worked at the Centre for Emotional Health Clinic, helping children and parents learn skills to manage various difficulties. Haydee values helping young people make sense of challenges and find meaning within what can feel daunting and overwhelming.

 

With a caring client-centred approach, Haydee offers brief and long-term treatment, drawing on various modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness practices, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR), and Attachment-based psychotherapy. She hopes to help people look inward to create space for self-reflection, self-compassion and self-growth, and look outwards, to make meaningful life changes in their world.
